Warden Message: Seoul American Citizens Services Closed November 19

U.S. Embassy Seoul issued the following Warden Message on November 15:

The U.S. Embassy in Seoul is transmitting the following information through the Embassy's Warden System as a public service to all U.S. citizens in the Republic of Korea. Please disseminate this message to U.S. citizens in your organizations or to other U.S. citizens you know.

The American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit of the U.S. Embassy will be closed for routine services Thursday morning, November 19, 2009. The Embassy will resume all ACS services at 1:30 pm Thursday, November 19, 2009.

To assist U.S. citizens inconvenienced by November 19th morning closure, the Embassy will open exceptionally for routine ACS services on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

U.S. citizens living or traveling in South Korea are encouraged to register with the Embassy through the State Department’s travel registration website: https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs/ui/. U.S. citizens without internet access may register in person at the U.S. Embassy. Registration is a voluntary way of telling us that you, as a U.S. citizen, are in Korea, whether for a long-term stay or for a short visit. In the event of an emergency, we use registration information to communicate with you. This could include a family emergency in which relatives in the United States request that the Embassy contact you.
